Fashion Friday: Triple Navy Straps

TGIF! The weekend couldn't get here soon enough. I have a hair appointment this afternoon that I've been stewing on for over a month now. My Pinterest board is proof of that! A major change though on that front, I'll post a photo to Insta for anyone who cares to see. ;) Snip snip!

I am always on the lookout for cute and affordable outfits. This adorable Printed Strap-Back Scoop Dress from Aeropostale is just that.

The strappy open back adds a bit of edginess to this fun, playful sundress.

I love my little deer! :)
My husband has been playing with his drone a lot lately so we've been visiting our local landmarks so he can get footage. It's giving me time to get some more pictures for this blog too which is great. These are from a visit to The Great Cross at the Mission of Nombre de Dios here in St. Augustine.

Here's the video Dee recorded while we were there. Be sure to check out his other video's on Instagram too!

Fashion Friday: Elephants and Healing Jewelry

I definitely believe in all the healing ideas behind crystals, symbolism of animals and positive thinking. The elephant is a symbol of good luck in many cultures. In Indian culture elephants are often painted for weddings and adorned with anklets and necklaces.

My whole outfit is leaning toward the spiritual side, all my jewelry has meaning or is meant to do something. The sandstone necklace is to help with change and to promote clarity. The red bracelet is an all around healing piece inlaid with Copper (energizing), Turquoise (strengthening and cleansing) and Coral (bring peace). This is the case with most of my jewelry I wear daily.

It looks like autumn with all the fallen leaves, but I promise it's spring here! My hubby took these photos with me just last weekend when we took a walk through a local park. Weird Florida weather has all of our plants confused down here- again.

So tell me, other than sentimental value does your jewelry have other meanings? Don't you just love elephants? They're so majestic and calming to me.

Spring Fashion with Aeropostale

Aeropostale

My most recently gifted haul from Aeropostale included some really great pieces that to me felt a little bit more counter culture for them than normal. When I have this top on, or the Hamsa bracelet my friends are always a little shocked once I tell them it's from Aeropostale.

And I know I've mentioned this before but their jeggings are the best, they fit me perfectly. I am obsessed with the details of the lace on this top. The fact that spring is finally here makes me so happy with the opportunity to wear more shirts like this and other cute warm weather clothes.

Have you taken my advice yet and checked out Aeropostale lately? I'm telling you, do it! You and your wallet will be so happy you did. They are very affordable and have some really great pieces.

Printed Leggings & Bethany Mota's Aeropostale Collection

Leggings are all the rage again this year and it's not a wonder why. They're super comfy, easy to pair with a top, and are kosher for everything from a shopping trip to dinner with friends. Bonus- they even remind me that I need to get my butt on my yoga mat whenever I wear them.
I have my share of solid leggings, but now I want some printed ones. Now that Bethany Mota's collection has finally come out with Aeropostale, I found the perfect ones.

If you order anything from her line today you get a free "Motavator" tee. Add on the freeship code and with the purchase of these leggings you'd well on the way to a new look for only $24!

What do you think of the sweater inspired leggings that are popping up everywhere now?
What's your favorite item from Bethany Mota's collection?

Stay Warm with These Cool Coats

With the cold weather coming on in Florida it's time to look for a new coat. I found a few good different styles from Aeropostale. If you don't have a moto jacket yet they offer a very affordable option.
My favorites are the Hooded Zip-Front Parka and the Car Coat. The tan parka looks warm and stylish with a military vibe; it will go great over any outfit with jeans.

Did you know that car coats were designed for riding in cars in the 1950's? Since the design of vehicles during this time were drafty, these overcoats were designed for protection against the wind. I'd love to wear one of these while riding in our 1929 Ford Model A. ;)

P.S. Is anyone else counting down the days until the release of Bethany Mota collection? I definitely am- December 8th!!

Fashion Friday: Stripes, Floral AND Polka Dots!

Aeropostale recently contacted me to let me know about their revamped styles for this year and invite me to be an Aeropostale VIP. I have to say I was blown away by the changes. At 27 years old, I am actually comfortable in these clothes. It's not plastered with the brand name and looks really modish.

These are my favorite jeans ever! They do not get stretched out like a lot of jeans by the end of the day. I can wear these two days and they are still in as good of shape as they were when they came out of the dryer. I don't know about yours, but most of my other jeans are drooping by midday, day 1. Needless to say, now that the price has dropped, I am ordering another pair with my money.

It's still summer here...
In addition to the above outfit I was able to get this Paisley Bustier Paisley Bustier Dress too with the credit they gave me. I wore it in Jamaica over our wedding trip and it was just perfect. I love the lace accents on the side over the blue and white paisley. So pretty and feminine.
Rugby Stripe Marled Pullover c/o Aeropostale $15.99 / Lola Core Jeans c/o Aeropostale $23.25 /
Floral Pop Scarf c/o Aeropostale $6.99 / J. Crew Flats

I hope you will check out Aeropostale's new look. You will probably be surprised by how many of the items you will want in your closet.

Fashion Friday: Aero Rocks Fashion

Aeropostale has revamped their style for Fall 2013 and the preview looks awesome! Lots of denim, lace, polka dots, stripes and some edgy faux leather and studs.

They appear to be marketing to the same group of individuals they marketed to in the early 2000's, you and me! Of course those individuals are no longer teens looking to rock tee shirts with huge logos across the front, we have a more mature fashion sense since 10 years ago and Aeropostale appears to be growing up too. A major plus with the change, their prices don't seem very affected!

When one of their reps contacted me to be an Aeropostale VIP and tell me about the changes, naturally I was all in and couldn't wait to see their fall collection! Their adorable welcome box came in the mail yesterday with my VIP card and invites to their launch party. They included a super cute hot pink wristlet too. With enough space for the essentials, this will be the perfect accessory to a Friday night outfit.

Stay tuned for a collaboration with Aeropostale in the near future.

What do you think, will you check out Aeropostale's new look?
