I've mentioned crystals a couple times before here, here, and here. There are times when I have the urge multiple times daily to hold onto one and feel its energies, and then there are other times when I almost forget about them scattered all over our house and in my purses.
Lately it's been the daily urges and the constant wearing of my malachite or aventurine bracelet.
My Grandmother told me I would "get over them," but 4 years later it hasn't happened and I really don't think it ever will. I believe different crystals do hold different energies as weird as some people think that is. I put them outside for occasional rain baths and during the full moon to recharge their energies. I have also been known to rub rose quartz and clear quartz on my friends neurotic dog. There are vendors who make collars with crystals in them for different doggie issues- so this idea is not that out there{waves hands in the air as if talking about ghosts and goblins}.
A lot of times when people come in our house they say they feel the love. It may just be my awesome feng shui skills, but I'm attributing it to the rocks. I have a few by the front door, some on our coffee table, more in the bathroom, above the kitchen sink, in the bedroom...and I want more! I really want to put a big amethyst piece in our birds of paradise garden!
If you are in Northeast Florida check out Earth Gifts in Jacksonville. The first time I went there I was overwhelmed by all of the different rocks they had for sale. Outside of picking up crystals on vacations I've gotten most of mine from them. They also carry incense, oils, books, jewelry and tarot cards. I just picked up a new deck of tarot cards as I couldn't find my old ones; it took me a while to pick the deck I wanted because they had so many to pick from.
What do you think? Is the thought that crystals have healing energies a ludicrous idea to you or do you believe in it too? Do you have a collection or a favorite stone?

I love crystals and have a dish full of them. I don't always wear or keep them with me, but normally feel better when I do.
Thanks for the tip about the shop. I live in central Florida and we have a few stores here but it is always great to discover new ones.
