Hi, new friend!
A Maryland native, I live in St. Augustine, Florida with my husband Didier (aka Dee) and our dogs.
Dee and I met while I was attending Flagler College and working at a local restaurant. He was a busser, and I was a waitress. It's not your typical love story though...
In all honesty, we didn't really speak while we were working together. It wasn't until a year later that we linked up and started dating. But that was over eleven years ago, and in 2013 we got married in Jamaica.
My online career began in part due to this blog. It helped me to land my first writing client and eventually get me a job in content marketing.
Being one of the millennials who graduated in 2008, I experienced the fall in the market. I had trouble finding a job out of college and ended up getting laid off three times due to the businesses either closing or downsizing.
Those experiences have made me wary of ever becoming an employee again. After my most recent layoff, I finally decided to jump into my own business.
Just Me aghan (a play on my first name) is my personal blog. I blog about a variety of topics from writing to yoga to the best brunch spots and restaurants here in the historic city of St. Augustine. Stick around and get to know more about me and my life.
