Did you know today was National Cheeseburger Day?

Upon arriving home that was one of the first statements I heard from my boyfriend when he pulled in the driveway. I knew right away where this was going, we were heading out to dinner to get him a cheeseburger! We ended up at Chili's where he got his fix, a quarter pound cheeseburger with bacon, mushrooms and cheese, no thanks! Well...I'll take some facon, a veggie burger and some cheese, please? :)

I had to steal some of those fries of course!

So he got his burger fix, and I had a "Caribbean Salad," with pineapple, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, grilled shrimp and a sweet dressing. All it needed was some candied pecans and I would have been in Heaven.
While we were there, we saw a stylish girl walking around twisting balloons for customers. The customer at the booth away had a flower, and I of course had to have something. Dee called Kalani over and we were offered what she could design, a dog, turtle, flower. But I already saw all those in the restaurant, the turtle by the way was super cute too. It looked like it fell straight out of Finding Nemo. Then she offered a penguin! Well duh, of course I want a penguin! If you know me at all, you know I am obsessed with Surf's Up and all things penguin.

Kalani is a student at Florida State College at Jacksonville, and has been entertaining with Balloon Distractions for 2 years to help pay for college. Her brother taught her how to make these awesome creations for kids and adults that have a sweet spot for animals and charming nostalgias. How adorable is this penguin?

My penguin is awesome, thank you Kalani! He danced all the way home from Chili's to Rick Ross. What can I say, he's a gangster in his striped pants. ;)
