September 22 is the first day of Fall, and the temperature here in sunny Florida today is 80°. Not exactly Fall weather. But just because it's not chilly, and I still probably shouldn't tramp around in my boots yet, doesn't mean it doesn't feel like autumn. The fashions are changing, I see more people wearing darker colors like burgundy, shades of orange, and browns.
Here's my Fall to do list for 2012:
1. Attend a Jaguars game, preferably one where they are playing the Ravens.
2. Make more meals with squash or baking pumpkins. This is somewhat of an unknown territory for me, but the Butternut Squash Soup came out and I'd love to try something else.
3. Rake my yard! Last year we never finished that job and they blew around the yard until about June.
4. Take my 3 dogs to the dog park more to make doggy friends.
5. Throw (or attend) a masquerade party.
6. Set up a blogger meetup for bloggers in North East Florida. If you know anyone, please send them my way so I can get this going.
7. Run a 5K. I've fallen off from going to the gym 3 times a week and really need to get back into it. I ran just over 2 miles this weekend and realized how much endurance I lost in just 2 and a half months.
8. Plant mums in my front pots, and plant bulbs for Spring.
9. Schedule a visit to Maryland to see my parents and the leaves changing.
10. Make my Grandma's Jewish Apple Cake and share it here with you all.
