Mug Swap Reveal

I recently joined a mug swap through Kallie with But First, Coffee. This was my second journey with a swap and again I seem to have gotten very lucky with my partner/new friend.

Ashley, a fellow baker with a love for dogs and peacocks, is from Glendale Arizona and is amazing at picking gifts for someone knowing only 15 things about them. She sent me a mug in my wedding colors with gorgeous flowers, a pretty shade of blue nail polish, some chai tea, and a candle holder to add to my collection of owls.

I've already enjoyed a couple of chai teas in my beautiful new mug, I love the little saucer it came with too. It seems so mannerly and polite. Thanks again Ashley!!!
Ashley is awesome at painting her own nails, check out these ombre peacock nails she did last week. She is considering starting a blog so be sure to tweet her at @smasheroonskie and tell her to just do it! You can see some of her other nail creations on her Instagram too!

Have you been involved in any swaps before?
Would you be interested in being involved with one if I held one here on Just Me aghan?

Insta- Me aghan: Dog days of Summer

It's that time of year again where every day is hot and popsicles and A/C are a requirement!

Ziggy went to go visit some new dog friends.  The top 2 pictures were on the way there,
where he first discovered the vents; the bottom is after getting chased around for
almost an hour by 2 dachsands in the hot Florida heat. hahah He enjoyed it though!
A little late to share, but here are my July 4th nails- gone fishin'.
We bought some cheap Popsicle molds and Dee made Horchata pops for us! Delish!

Grilled Avocado, Spinach, Pesto, Mozzerella & Goat Cheese Sandwich - Nom Nom Nom!

Peonies & Friends!! A little surprise from my love when I came home for lunch this past week. :)

Nerdy Driving Picture- You can really see the true colors of my Ombre hairstyle here.
Thank goodness for A/C!!
This was beautiful, this image is untouched, no filter and taken from my iPhone
The rays were coming through in lines like that and projecting over the entire sky.

Follow me on Instagram @mmulligan, I love new followers as much as you! ;)

Crazy felines, dogs, nails & yummy eats

Spot by the pier where all the locals check the waves.
Crazy cat that belongs to my friend, I think it wanted to eat me, smack me at the least.
Simply put, a disaster! I think I had my bobbin threaded wrong and when I get home I plan to check it out and see if I can fix it now.  This is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. No wonder it sat in the closet for over a year.
mmmm just some of the best food in St Augustine at Romano's.  This is a mozzarella fritti, fresh mozz of course.
My first attempt at making california rolls, or any sushi for that matter.  They came out pretty good, less rice next time..
Ohhh a crazy dog! Whenever she does that one ear satellite thing, she's about to freak.  And she did all around the house.  Such a good Chloe dog. :)
My hot pink and gold nails, China Glaze for the pink, the gold came from PacSun (random).
I really need to work on the whole straight line thing..
What did you do over the weekend? New nails for you? I usually do mine on the weekend and then once in the middle of the week too.

Seasonal Nails

This is a simple, seasonal nail that can be modified for pretty much any holiday.
2 coats of red, allow to dry and then with a tooth pick dot your nails with the contrasting color.
Red: Log on to love by OPI
Green: Lickety-Split Lime by Sally Hansen, insta-dry

Now not only is my house all decorated, my nails are ready for Santa too.

Leopard Nails or Easter at the beach?

http://www.styledon.com/fashion/features/articles/diy-manicures#49
I just followed this how to and did the leopard print nails, only I used different colors. :)
I started out with Essie-Sand Tropez as my base, made the "c's" with a periwinkle blue acrylic paint, and filled them out with a light pink I had.  This was my first time trying it so the shapes are a little off.  I think next time I will try it with actual leopard colors, because this kind of looks like an Easter egg explosion in the sand.

(sorry for the crappy cell phone picture quality)

newspaper nails

http://trashfashiononline.blogspot.com/2011/04/project-diy-newspaper-nails.html

Check out Emily's DIY on newspaper nails, I'm working on my own right now and will post pictures if they turn out.

...waiting for my first coat to dry right now, I hope they work!!

::UPDATE::  Here they are! :)  It worked, it will take some practice to perfect but the final product is cute.

I was trying to put a few designs on some nails, next time I think I'll stick to words.
