Fall Fashion Swap

Saturday I held my second clothing swap with a handful of friends. Everyone brought at least five fall/winter items, either clothes or accessories which were then hung up and put on display. Each of us had 5 tags to label our favorite pieces. If there was more than one tag on an item we stuck the names in a hat and pulled for the person who "won" the item.

Serena brought some Jamberry samples with her and showed everyone how to apply them to their nails. The accent nail of choice was definitely the ring finger. Seeing all the different designs on a nail and not just on the sheet made a difference. I ordered this black floral Sweet Nothing Nail Wrap. It looks perfect for fall and I can't wait to get them in! There are so many different Jamberry prints available, Jamberry even has a Pumpkin Spice Nail Wrap- hah!

We tried to keep all the food in theme with fall. Baked brie and apples, sangria, red pepper cheese dip, and pumpkin spice chai cookies filled the table.

In the first swap this past spring we were accompanied by Serena's adorable son Milo, this time new mommy Lauren brought little Melody for our girls day. She was a happy little lady and not phased at all by the dogs.

I have a Jamberry party open if you want to join. Serena says they can last up to two weeks, I have a set on now and I'll update you with the outcome soon. If my new set comes in before that I may be changing them sooner though. ;)

Have you been part of a clothing swap before? Would you hold one yourself?

Fashion in the Pumpkin Patch

Happy Halloween! This little "pumpkin patch" is located on King Street in Saint Augustine. The First United Methodist Church sells these pumpkins to benefit their youth and children's programs. This year 3,000 pumpkins were delivered for them to sell! I'm hoping they still have a couple left after work today that I can go pick up. I carved my pumpkin way too soon and now have 2 moldy messes that need to be thrown out. Luckily I do have some glittery skulls and the like decorating our entry way.

Side note: I had shellac nails on for the first and last time here. They destroyed
my nails just as much as acrylics do and I would NOT recommend them.

This is sadly the final set of images from Foxtale Photography. It really was great to work with them and I truly appreciate the effort they put into this project. If you haven't already, Like their Facebook so you can keep up to date with them and the other bloggers they photograph. If you are in the Ocala, Florida area look them up, they are offering a photography package that will add a lot to your blog

Be safe tonight everyone, and if your staying in like me, enjoy all the little trick or treaters that come to your door. I can't wait to see what characters show up at my doorstep, hopefully no Honey Boo Boo's...

Halloween CAN be pretty!

Thanks for stopping by! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
I'm sorry to whoever decided that Halloween has to be creepy, scary, dark and gross. I am just not into all that, probably something to do with my distaste for horror movies. I haven't watched a scary movie since an 8th grade slumber party where "I know what you did last summer" was played. No thanks!
Here are some pretty things I found for Halloween I would much rather bask in.
Pretty Halloween
I love the vampy glitter polish from Orly, that is about as close to blood as I will be getting. Definitely no Zombie Meaghan over here.
I have decorated at the house for Halloween, but no blood and nothing too creepy. I have a glittery spider, a skeleton, and a few skulls (also on the glitter/shimmery side).
How do you feel about Halloween? Are you into the gore?
