The last six months have been a wild ride. I transitioned over to the freelance writing life at the beginning of October and have been working on finding new clients and writing articles for my other blog. Of course, my first week of freelancing couldn't be typical. Hurricane Matthew ripped through our town messing up any kind of a schedule for a week or so. Thankfully my husband and I only lost part of our fence, and a tree fell.
Since making the switch, I feel so much happier. Having total control of my schedule is amazing. Getting to write every day is amazing. Being able to teach more yoga, also amazing. You get the idea - I'm delighted with my current work situation.
The one thing that I've struggled with is tied to my schedule. It's so open that I find myself delaying physical activity. I have no problem with job deadlines, but procrastinating exercise has been an issue for me.
I've always been on the thin side. I could basically eat anything I wanted and not worry about it. Lately, that has not been the case. I'm blaming it on passing 30 years on this planet and of course, the medications I've been on the last few months (more on that at another time - I'm fine though).
I teach yoga three days a week, practice 2 more days, and walk our Doberman Chloe every day. This hasn't helped on the weight side. I've gained almost 10 pounds since the last time I weighed myself... back in September. We don't have a scale at home, I just occasionally jump on the one at the grocery store.
It's time to regain my balance and get back to my pre-winter weight. When I was prepping for our wedding three and a half years ago, I went on a hardcore Tone It Up binge. If you're not familiar with the girls, check them out. I was in the best shape of my life that summer.
I'm rejoining the Tone It Up team and would be happy to have you join me. Their annual Bikini Series challenge starts April 24th - it's free. I'm really considering taking the jump of buying their nutrition plan and going all in. I've been following the girls about five years and have always been interested in it.
