The next BIG thing

Why are we, as humans, always looking forward to the next big thing? We get that one bag we've been wanting and then we switch to wanting the next perfect bag. We go to one big event, and are already thinking about the next one. We go through one major milestone and are thinking about the next. The list goes on and relates to just about everything.

A lot of us want similar things sequentially, it's like some weird kind of programming. In no particular order: marriage, a new car, a new job, babies, travel, retirement...

I guess I don't mind this phenomenon too much. It's something to look forward to, another reason to wake up every morning with something new to work towards. It could be monetarily or just gaining life experiences for that next big thing.

I'm heading to Disney this weekend with the hubby and a couple friends, I can't wait! My next big thing after that? Our reception in mid-November.

What are your thoughts? What are you looking forward to right now in your life?
What's next for you?

I think it's natural for us all to look for the next big thing. Because we like to have something positive in our lives to look forward to. I'm excited that I have a friend who is visiting me for a few days in the near future! :)
