About 10 years ago, I asked my parents for an Old Navy peacoat. Needless to say they were not up on the brands or current styles; I ended up with an ancient Navy Peacoat probably owned by some petty officer.
I never actually got the Old Navy brand Peacoat I wanted, if I had I'd probably still have it in my closet, if it hadn't fallen apart yet. Peacoats are such a staple and classic piece of outerwear. I currently own a white hooded one and am on the hunt for red this fall. This one from J. Crew really has caught my attention, and I know it will last a while with their penchant for high quality. The strong, masculinity of the boxiness, combined with the feminine curves and belted accent are just perfect.
