Are you considering having a Valentine's date
in this year? I am, and I'm excited to spend the evening at home with my Valentine. With a little planning it can be more enjoyable and relaxing than going out to a crowded, overbooked restaurant.
In my mind Valentine's only requirements are chocolate, flowers and some good food. Nothing too fancy is really required, just a little more effort put into the appearance of the food will do. Think heart shaped cut outs of filet, heart shaped pizza or even as simple as red spices(paprika). Try to get your man to cook for you or even split the task over a couple glasses of champagne for some extra one on one time.
Here's a few yummy recipes from
Taste of Home that caught my eye, a few are sure to be on our menu this Thursday.
I saw on
Pinterest recently a recipe with Champagne and ice cream and would love to try it. This sounds a little more eloquent for the holiday though.
Skip the chocolate dipped and go for chocolate cream filled this year, or mix it up and have both!
Are you going out to eat or spending the night in?
