Working at a gym has finally started to rub off on me. I ran a 5K last weekend for breast cancer, Pink up the Pace. And I think I'm hooked. There's a few more 5K's next month and I need to get signed up for one.
People see me and are like awh your skinny your in shape...not so much. I saw a quote on another blog (which of course I cannot find now) that said 100 pounds of skinny is not nearly as hot as 120 pounds of muscle. If that's not screaming at me to move it into high gear I don't know what is.
I need to do this just to be healthy, I need to be fit and try to fight cancer as much as possible. There has been so much of it in my family it scares me; my grandfather had 4 or 5 different types of cancer throughout his life and my grandmother on the other side of the family died from breast cancer. Gotta fight it as much as possible and while I'm young is the time to start. Maybe by next summer/bikini season I'll have ripped abs like this ;)
