Weekend Thrifting: Tribal

I cleaned out my closet and dresser and was able to dispose of the evidence yesterday at the Goodwill. I made myself get rid of anything I have been holding onto but haven't worn in the last year (of course there's a few things I wasn't able to part with). It freed up so much space and allows me room to add order there. I also tackled my desk area, which had turned into a blackhole for all things craft. Nothing was where it belonged and I couldn't even bear to look into that general area for the last few weeks.  I even found a random chisel among the paint brushes, hole punches, scrap book paper, glitter...the list goes on.
While dropping off my old things (someone else's new treasures) I of course had to go in and rummage around a bit. Without the time to tackle the clothes because they were closing, I went straight to the home section and found this little Native American inspired gem. I love all the colors in this and can't wait to get it hung up.
I'm not very familiar with ceramics, but this is about 6" wide and pretty heavy. It feels like some form of man-made sandstone. It's neat though, now I need to find out if the hieroglyphics on it have any meaning.
