MAC Haul <-- First time EVER!

I finally went and splurged on some MAC makeup last week!  Partly from the encouragement of a friend here in town, and also to a few beauty bloggers I follow {specifically- kandeej.com}.  These shadows are living up to the hype so far. I've only had them for a week so they haven't tackled all of the elements quite yet.
I picked up these three colors as I am most comfortable with a lighter eye-Charcoal Brown, in Matte, Retro-Speck and Black Tied.  The shimmer of the Retro-Speck lasts throughout the day, and the Charcoal Brown is just the right shade for the dark of an every-day eye.
The black will probably last me a year forever!  I am pretty much just scared to death of black eye pigments, other than using it to rim my eye of course.  I'm really just worried it' going to be too dark, and too much.  Used it a few times over my liquid liner (again just rimming here) and I really liked the shimmer effect it added.
Time for some more of Kandee's eye tutorials!  Maybe I'll be able to rock a dark smoky eye over the holidays. ;)

Are there any colors you are a little nervous about using?  Or were you ever nervous about using a color before that has now become a part of your go to palette?

Hi there! I've heard so much about MAC too! But they don't sell in in The Netherlands sadly enough :( Found you on IFB, hope you can follow me back! Love Jenna

Aw bummer! I'm sure you've got something else though that's similar right?

Love the neutral shades! I think with black the important thing is to blend really well - other wise it can look way to harsh!
