SKYDIVING!!!

So after getting cancelled 4 different times we finally were able to go on our 4 year anniversary skydiving trip!! And man was it amazing!  We were given about 20 minutes of overview on what we needed to do, watched a "you may die" video, and signed our lives away on over a dozen pages.  They were definitely trying to weed out the scared. ;)
After 15 minutes of riding in a plane the 5 of us barely fit in, the hatch door was opened and I was to go first and put my foot out on this 2 foot long by 3 inch step, please note the wind gusts were not having that!! Finally got secure enough, leaned forward and away we went.  What an awesome experience.
There was about 45 seconds of this, free falling before the chute was released and we started to glide in for about 5 minutes.
The views were absolutely amazing, right there at the beach.  It was just beautiful and I definitely recommend everyone to try it.  Even if your scared of heights, my legs shake like crazy when I go up the local lighthouse!  But this was different, you were supposed to be falling!!
Dee's jumper was a little crazier than mine.  He said they did some flips out of the plane before they steadied out for the free fall.  He LOVED IT!! So much that he is now ready to go out and get certified.  No thank you! I'll enjoy jumping again though for sure, I'm just not interested in the paranoia of, "should I let the chute go yet, is it too early, too late"? OMG-No Thanks!

We are planning to jump on our next vacation, where ever that may be to.  Hopefully sometime in the near future.  But this was a great escape/getaway even for a few hours, just such a great experience.  I feel more daring, like I am planning to try to get out on my board again this summer and see if I can get over my fear of sharks...If I can jump out of a plane, logically I should be fine.

If you have the chance, do it!  Go jump out of a perfectly good airplane. :)
