6 Days In

Today is day 6 since the start of my Yoga practicing. I've taken 3 classes of Yoga at a studio in town, each which have given me a different feeling afterwards.
  1. Sun Moon Flow
  2. Hatha Yoga with Pranayama (focus on breathing)
  3. Hatha Yoga
-My first class gave me an incredibly relaxed effect upon completion. I'm unsure if this was just the effects of Yoga for the first time, or specifically this form of Yoga-I shall find out this week when I take the class again.

-The second class on Hatha left me incredibly energized. By the time I got home I was ready to riverdance or at least run mile or 2.

-The Saturday morning class, on Hatha, gave me a refreshed feeling. A combination of the relaxation and the energy to put my mind to my tasks of the day. After a trip to the beach and some lunch I was on a roll cleaning our place.

I got a yoga mat, dvd for beginners and a desire to start Yoga about a year ago. I felt I never had the time for it. LIE! I just never made the time. Now I have this feeling it will take over my life as I am so curious about every aspect of it.

I want to learn the chants, I've got one down so far meaning Peace. "Ooooooom Chaaaanti Chaaanti Chaaaantiiiii." :)

I'm currently reading "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramhansa Yogananda. So for now, I have my dog chewed yoga mat(not kidding my male min pin decided it might be tasty), my water bottle, my need to relax, and my desire to learn more about this time-honored tradition. Time to transform into my own yogi bear.
